YIELD AND FRUIT QUALITY OF ALMOND, PEACH AND PLUM UNDER REGULATED DEFICIT IRRIGATION
Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering 2021, Volume 8, Issue 4, Pages 583-593 doi: 10.15302/J-FASE -2020325
The effects of regulated deficit irrigation (RDI) on the performance of almond cv.Yield and fruit quality traits were determined. The effect of RDI differed between species.Yield and fruit size were reduced significantly only in peach under RDI-50.Fruit quality improved in this species in the first year of the experiment, with an increase of sugarand 50% in almond and plum with improvements in fruit quality without affecting total yield.

World Trend for Apple Cultivation——mproving Fruit Quality
Xue Shizhao
Strategic Study of CAE 2001, Volume 3, Issue 6, Pages 81-88
Shifting from quantity-orientation to quality-orientation is the world trend for apple cultivationOld practice of mere pursuing high yield should be abandoned. We should target at best fruit quality, with an output of 30,000 kg per hectare, to maintain the healthy

Fruit cracking is a major disorder that affects the integrity of fruit and reduces the commercialvalue of tomato and other fleshy fruit. Here, we have found a novel fruit ‘netted-cracking’ (FNC) phenotype in tomato introgressionoverexpressing FNCAC and FNCIL4-4resulted in the fruitphenotype, suggesting that the FNC transcript level results in the functional gain of fruit
